Brian Capsay - Member, Fly Fishing Team USA 2008

A new member of Fly Fishing Team USA Brian Capsay is looking forward to the challenge that comes with competing internationally. Capsays competitive nature started early in life and has just recently moved into competitive fly fishing. Early success helped motivate the fly fisher. In his first competition the 2003 Fly Fishing Masters Capsay finished in first place in a field of a hundred after the first day of casting skills. “Becoming a member of Team USA has been a goal of mine, I’m looking forward to helping out this team anyway I can” said Capsay. Durango, Colorado is home to Capsay where he owns and operates The Caddis Company, a fly fishing guide service and retail store. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and Biology from Fort Lewis College. Capsay is an avid ice hockey fan, he also plays and coaches. “I’ve been on winning teams my whole life and this hopefully won’t be any different’’. Capsay is just coming off a recent win at the NAFFC North American Fly Fishing Classic.
