Ed Opler - Team Coach Fly Fishing Team USA

This year Ed Opler will be performing the duties of Team Captain for Fly Fishing Team USA. One of his responsibilities will be to travel to Slovakia prior to the World Fly Fishing Championships to scout the local conditions and cultivate relationships with guides and fly shops in the region.

Mr. Opler is a graduate of Middlebury College with a BA in Business Economics. He served America for two years as an artillery fire direction office in the United States Marine Corps. In 1957 he joined the World's Finest Chocolate Company in September 1957 and retired recently as its CEO and Chairman.

He has had the good fortune to have fly fished all over the world in both fresh and salt water locales. Argentina and New Zealand are his favorite venues outside of the Rocky Mountain West.

Ed joined Fly Fishing Team USA in 1989 and serves on its Board of Directors.
